Maite Aizpurua and Intza Alkain welcome us as if there was nothing more important at the door of the bar Taba. Posts that mark borders or don't let go from one side to the other and you through the center, as if you were on the red carpet. The important thing is all that you crushed, that is, every spectator, including you. That has been the path they have taken from the very beginning.

Yes, they are the actors and they are the protagonists. I would say that the idea of reducing the distance to the viewer and of making the staff collective is a decision they have taken on the table. Maite and Intza. I've understood the intent to imagine that in the first person they're talking about you, and I think anyone identified has felt it at some point.

The theme is friendship. Or a broad conception of friendship. Or expand, that's the intention. Forms of awe, excessive illusions, frustrations, attachment, disappointment, jealousy, control, limits, mistrust, trust, moments and loneliness, especially loneliness, for the viewer to come to their conclusions. Is life not a solitude as a whole? Is a relationship not just one loneliness but another? We are nothing and we are everything and everyone should speak from their place. We are all friends and at the same time we have no friends. In the words of Harkaitz Cano, “Life is to accept that you are losing friends.” Maite and Intza invite their usual friends to the theater, but this time they do not appear either. So people in the audience are invited to friendship.

Two people who know each other from a young age tell us about their relationship. It counts a lot of anecdotes. It has grief and also joy. He's afraid and angry. From realism, from surrealism. Anyone who knows these two actors knows very well that the travesura and the shame will not be lacking in one of his works, that the absurd will have a privileged place on the scene, something that you will not understand why he has made him laugh. At the same time, and in line with this, they seek the contrast of showing the knots that have a simple theme or receive the red carpet on their pajamas.

This play was awarded at the 2024 San Sebastian Pocket Theatre Festival. The protagonists of the festival are small format works represented in small spaces, which are presented in different bars and txokos. The first edition was held in 1991 and this year there will be five premieres, all of them in Basque, as that is their goal: to promote small format plays in Basque. The jury has made the same Promise to all people trusting in the play, giving continuity to the issues that are lately in the Basque theatre. A fragile or progressive idea of educating a less modern viewer or talking about a subject that moves the modern viewer.
