The feminist magazine Pikara Magazine is ten years old in November. In these nine years, the goal has been to integrate the feminist view into the world of journalism, and have become leaders in that path. The presence of feminism and the gender perspective in the new and traditional media has increased in many days, and in this new context it has become necessary to organize conferences on feminist journalism.

As explained by June Fernández, a member of Pikara Magazine, the goal of the congress is to work feminism "in a transversal way" in the media and not to limit itself to "the specialty of some journalists". Thus, they want to be a meeting place between journalists and media that use feminist gaze as a tool of work and analysis, to share experiences and share them together.

A comprehensive two-day programme will take place between 9 and 10 October in Bilborock, in the writing of Pikara Magazine, in Wikitoki and in the civic centre La Bolsa. Representatives of 20 international media have been invited to participate in round tables and workshops, in which more than 120 people from all over the world have already participated.

They will all try to answer a number of questions: "How do we de-escalate journalism? "What does it mean to do a feminist journalism?" "How does this philosophy reflect in the structures of redactions? "How can we ensure that the day-to-day monitoring of redactions is taken into account? "Does the precariousness of freelance journalists have to do with gender?" ".
