Talks between the representatives of the governments of Israel and Gaza have taken place in Egypt, with the mediation of this country, the USA and Qatar. According to Berria, some Israeli media outlets are proposing that the 130 Palestinian and captive Sixteen prisoners be released in those 40 days since 7 October, while other media outlets claim that Israel would release 900 prisoners and Sixteen to 33.

Generosity

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blink and UK Foreign Minister David Cameron have stated that Israel’s proposal is “very generous”. Blinken has said that the “only obstacle” to the truce is Hamas and has called it to accept Israel’s conditions “quickly”. “Everyone should be looking at them and saying, “Accept the deal,” Cameron launched.

For her part, Hamdan Sixteen spokeswoman Osama has denied that the Israeli Government’s proposal is generous: “Stopping attacks on civilian citizens is not generous. When you stop committing a crime, you cannot say that that is generous.”

Invasion with or without respite

Meanwhile, Israel’s attacks are continuing: on Monday the Israeli army killed 47 other Palestinians. On Tuesday, the United Nations announced that although Israel has allowed more aid to be introduced in April than in previous months, it is not enough to change the trend towards famine.
