Both PSN and UPN have approved the modification of the Municipal Plan of Pamplona/Iruña. In this way, it will be possible to develop a commercial estate on Avenida de Zaragoza. Neighbors and merchants of Azpilagaña, Arrosadía and Iturrama have protested against this measure for "its negative impact on the social and productive fabric" of the neighborhoods and the city.
According to Noticias de Navarra, the call of the spokespersons of EH Bildu and Geroa Bai to incorporate 600 housing units into the project, 400 of which are officially protected, in order to reduce the area of the mall. The project covers between 6,000 and 11,000 square meters. Navarre Suma and the PSN have given the approval of the project and have rejected the alternative of opposition to reform.
EH Councilor Bildu, Borja Izagirre, has criticized Navarra Suma for trying to launch the project without the participatory process that marks the law, and that only the intervention of the Foral Government has forced the City Hall to consult with the citizens and groups interested.
