In Navarre, 20.5% have consumed some form of binge in the last year
- In Navarre, in the last two years there has been a decrease in the number of people who have consumed alcohol indigestion: 20.5% of respondents reported having consumed more than four or five drinks in two hours this year. Tobacco consumption has increased by 39.2% and currently stands at 39.2%. The number of viewers who have played in-person has increased in two years, from 61.8% today to 4.8% that has remained in gaming time over the internet.
The Spanish Government has released the first results of the Ages survey, which is carried out every two years. The Government of Navarra has published the data of this survey on the territory in which it is located. Citizens aged between 15 and 64 were consulted before confinement (from 7 February to 13 March). The confinement has conditioned the research work and reduced this year's sample to the sample contacted so far: In the Spanish state, 17,899 people have been questioned and of them, 479 in Navarre, compared to 613 in 2017 in Navarre.
The alcohol rate in Navarre drops, but above the Spanish average
20.5% of the people surveyed in Navarra acknowledged having ever been a victim of alcohol in 2019/2020. This figure was higher in 2017/2018: 24.7%. But there is still more than the average of the Spanish state in Navarre in the number of cases in which alcohol has been consumed: In the Spanish State as a whole, the average is 15.1%. It has been considered as "alcohol draw" drinking more than one quantity within two hours and the survey discriminates according to gender: more than five drinks in the case of men, more than four drinks in the case of women.
Tobacco consumption increases
A total of 39.2% of respondents reported having smoked in the last 30 days. By contrast, 32.6% of Basque households did so in 2017. In the Spanish State, on average, the trend has been the reverse, i.e. the reduction: In 2017 they stood at 38.8%, this time at 36.8%.
Cannabis and hypnosedatives remain the same
8.6% of respondents who reported having smoked cannabis in the last 30 days, a percentage similar to the previous survey, was approved by 8.2% of respondents. These figures are similar to the Spanish State average (8% vs 9.1% of 2017).
In Navarre, with or without a prescription, the percentage of people who appropriate hypnosedatives is 7.8%, compared to 8.6% in the Spanish State.
Increase the number of gamblers
In Navarra, 61.8% of the respondents surveyed did so in person in the last year (less than in the Spanish state, where the average was 63.6%). The money game includes lotteries, quiniels and the like. For its part, the percentage of citizens who have invested in online money has been 4.8%. In 2017, people who played face to face were less (58.2%) and the number of people who played online was the same as today. In the Spanish state as a whole, the average number of internet users has increased by 6.7% and has almost doubled since 2017, when they stood at 3.5%.
