Presentation of the Itinerant Fair of the Mountain of Navarra and the Habelarte Association this Sunday in Arribe

The first stop of Mendialdeko Azoka Ibiltaria, in Arribe, will take place in Araitz on 9 May. Taking advantage of the celebration of the fair, they will present the association of baserritarras of the Habelarte Mountain, at 12:30 hours. Partnership is an instrument for collective solutions to the problems and needs of the agricultural sector. Its objective is to promote sustainable agriculture in an extensive model and to promote practices based on agroecology.
Predominance of local products and local raw materials
True to the initial philosophy of the fair, the organizers are clear about the main objective of the fair: to promote, make visible and sell the products they produce in a sustainable and responsible way. This film aims, in a cross-sectional way, to disseminate other values as relevant as responsible consumption, the circular economy or the importance of initiatives km0, which, according to the organizers, "are essential to build another socio-economic model".
They prioritize agri-food production and local producers, and especially value the use of raw materials in the region. However, while agri-food products predominate, artisans from the area will also be involved, who occasionally have their own production. However, they do not allow the resale of products.
Travelling Fair, this year 9 fairs
This weekend’s fair will have a total of 21 seats, equipped with handicraft products and indigenous food. Next, the second stop of the Mountain Touring Fair will be in Alda (Larraun), on 23 May, and so until November it will travel another seven localities of the region: May 9, Sunday Araitz; May 23, Sunday Aldatz (Larraun); June 6, Sunday Leitza; June 20, Sunday Goizueta; July 4, Sunday Latasa (Imotz); July 25, Sunday Basaburua; August 14, Saturday Areso; September 18, Saturday Atetz; November 7, Lekunberri.
