The unions LAB, Steilas, Afapna, ANPE, CCOO, ELA, UGT, SEPNA, CSIF and usage; the associations of student struggle students Ernai, Students on the move and Gora Ikasle on borroka; and the parents' associations Sortzen and Gurasoak of Movement in Pamplona have appeared today. They criticize that the measures taken by the Department of Education for the new school year "have come late" and are "insufficient". Among other issues, they have reported that only 173 of the 666 contracts announced, and have therefore asked for explanations. They have demanded a return to the “agreed, safe and in-person” classrooms.
The following specific measures are requested:
- Contingency protocols specific to non-teaching staff.
- Health staff and occupational health staff in each center.
- Conciliation and forecasting measures in quarantine situations.
- To ensure all the complementary services necessary for family reconciliation, such as the dawn classroom, adapting the spaces to the needs of each center.
- Include the university environment in all contingency protocols.
- Take into account, in particular, all non-teaching staff and students and vulnerable students, ensuring safety in returning to the centres.
In this way, several mobilizations have been announced for next week, coinciding with the beginning of the school year in Bilbao. On the one hand, “massive” collections of signatures and posters will be held in schools; on the other hand, a campaign will be held on social networks; and, finally, a concentration will be called before the Palacio de Navarra on 2 September.
