The Educational Community Forum once again denounces that the Department of Education has acted “without negotiation or transparency” in the design of the contingency plan to return to the classrooms and that the plan is “insufficient”: “Receiving contributions by email and then doing nothing is not negotiating”.

The trade union, social and family organizations that make up the Forum have concentrated this morning in the Parliament of Navarra to report on the forthcoming calls for protests and not to rule out the possibility of a day of strike.

Next Tuesday, 15th, a rally will take place, at 18:00 hours, in the Castle Square. In addition, meetings will be held with parliamentary groups, educational institutions and associations of fathers and mothers. They have also called for the social media to disseminate the pictures of the posters of the demands made.

The members of the platform have repeatedly denounced the problems they have experienced since the early days of the school year. Among its main demands are the reduction of ratios, the agreed pedagogical plan, and more contracts and resources.

“New cases could be foreseen”

Carlos Gimeno's department has also been charged with "lying" about hiring, although he says that in June teachers were hired, which is not the case, according to the platform. As far as the 666 contracts announced are concerned, at the moment only 171 have been known.

Asked about the cases that are appearing in schools, they have indicated that they could be "predicted" and that they could be avoided with "more resources and smaller groups".
