The EH Bil, Poder and Leftist groups have asked the Government of Navarre to suspend the negotiation of the construction of the High Speed Train, as well as the unions ELA, LAB, ESK, CGT, STEILAS, EHNE and TRES. In order not to negotiate with Madrid, he has been asked to develop, at the same time, a "social and political debate on the railway model" to determine the "social train", a "correct and sustainable model" in the course of development.
The parties and trade unions have described the High Speed Train as “a train that goes nowhere” and that, although the crisis has left it “dormant”, now the Spanish Government wants to relapse, offering a new agreement to the Government of Navarra. However, the project has been described as "the same project as the UPN/PP".
"The project is that of the UPN/PP, a revamped, digestible trolley that comes with some changes, but that maintains the same essence: the lack of proportion and the same error as the previous one. In the past, there was a lack of transparency, there was no participation in the debate and citizenship was not taken into account when decisions were made. The Madrid government’s appearance of deadlines and/or the use of them as an excuse is closing the door to participation in everything and to make proposals," said Representative Cruz Andueza, reading the document agreed by the parties and trade unions.
The "Crazy" AAV
The parties and unions have proclaimed that AAV is not “necessary”, that they do not want it and that macroinfrastructure is “crazy”, as well as that it is not “acceptable” “from the point of view of social profitability”, that it does not respond to the “interests” of Navarre and that it “excludes” Tafalla and Tudela, even following a “brutal development model”. In this sense, they have requested that the work of the Supramunicipal Plan that is being carried out in Etxabakoz be stopped.
Social train compass
What of that aura? The social train. This is what they have proclaimed and for this they have called for "a debate between the political, trade union and social forces of Navarre" and also to give citizens "the opportunity to participate".
"The support of the AVE and the political and social change that Navarre needs are contradictory. Change must show respect for nature. Leaning is a means of advancing the goal of achieving a more just society; change is about owning our future. The change, in terms of sustainable mobility and public transport, is mainly about 'common sense', prioritising social profitability, promoting economically sensible projects that do not entail restrictions on social policies, minimising the damage to ecology. All of this is exactly what the AHT lacks."
It has been reported that in the autumn there will be mobilizations against the AVE, convened by different agents of the popular movement, specifically on October 7, in the center of Navarre. Parties and trade unions that have held a press conference have issued a call to attend.
