The Government of Navarre starts using drones to monitor and punish citizens
- The Government of Navarre has begun to directly control citizens through drones. On its website, it acknowledges that it has launched a "pilot experience" on the first weekend of May and shows in video how much the camera takes pictures directly from people. These live video images are sent to the headquarters of SOS Deiak in Navarra to be broadcast by SOS Deiak. The conclusion of the first weekend was that ten times the Foral Police was sent to check that the citizens respected the regulations of the state of alarm and two of them made the complaint to the citizens.
The Minister of Presidency, Equality, Public Service and Interior, Javier Remírez, has presented as "citizen security pilot project" the use of citizen control drones.
