They call for the 67 million TAV works in Navarre to be used for social costs
- Last Saturday at noon a demonstration was held in Pamplona convened by the citizens' initiative against the TAV Orain Esku. They called for the closure of the APR project in Navarre and for the money spent this year to be spent on social costs.
Now, according to Kontuz, this year will be EUR 87 million from the central government budgets for Navarra and EUR 62 million for the works of the TAV. The demonstrators also called for the money from European funds not to be allocated to the TAV, as envisaged by the authorities.
The works of the TAV in Navarre have been in operation for nine years and only a fortnight has been executed out of the planned 200 kilometres. According to the organizers, about 500 people participated in the mobilization, 200 according to the government delegation in the Congress of Deputies.
