Counselor María Carmen Maeztu told the media that it is very positive that there are no patients with coronavirus in residences, but she has called to be attentive: “After all the work done and all the suffering caused by the pandemic, we have to redouble our efforts to prevent outbreaks.”
It should be noted that the highest peak of the pandemic was recorded on 13 April, with 933 confirmed cases or compatible symptoms. With the one of these weekend people, there have already been about one thousand discharges of people residing in Navarros and for 20 days there have been no deaths from COVID-19 in nursing homes.
As for the impact of the pandemic on the workforce, until last Friday there were 32 people out of work.
This positive development has also occurred in disability centers, as since 23 June there are no cases of COVID-19 and a person is hospitalized. In these centers the highest incidence occurred on April 9, with 107 confirmed cases or compatible symptoms. Eight people have died throughout the pandemic. Currently, three workers from the centres with disabilities are on sick leave.
