The World Bank will donate a total of $1.5 billion to Ukraine, of which, according to its president, David Malpass, $1 billion will be taken from the development fund for the poorest countries.
In addition, the World Bank will pay another $100 million to Moldova, a country bordering Ukraine to which more than 400,000 refugees have been displaced since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine.
The World Bank (WB) has said that thanks to this aid Ukraine is paying the pensions and salaries of officials.
