Backpack full of illusion
- After the holidays, we're going back to class with a backpack full of illusion. In this backpack we find the desire to build the education that our people deserve and the objective of improving the working conditions of the education workers, since good working conditions are directly related to quality education. Education workers, aware that our work is very important to build a new society. When education workers ask for stability in the workforce, ratios cuts, substitutions from day one, training or pedagogical resources, we are talking about improving education.
During the summer we have heard desires and demands to build a Basque country and a better world, we have seen the colors of the purple, green and red transformation in the equivalent of Biarritz, in the auzolan of Tafalla, in the Aste Nagusia Pirata, in the Amazon or in the streets of Bilbao. LAB wants to put the education system at the service of this moving people, from the welfare of children and youth, because without education there is no change. But we're not going to fool anyone, we have serious problems in education.
We have done a lot and we are doing a lot, but in recent years we are not going bien.Las external and internal evaluations of the system, the officials and education workers show a disturbing X-ray: far from advancing in the quality and use of the Basque, the transmission of the Basque culture is impossible if we are not freed from the dependency of the Spanish and French Resume; the segregation of social and origin classes is worsening;
The challenge
The list of problems is long. During this course, the LAB syndicate will try to turn problems into challenges and threats. As has already been mentioned, there are many serious problems that we have in different areas, and that we conclude that the problem is the same system. Therefore, LAB has proposed as a challenge to accelerate the steps to be taken in the construction of the Basque Community Public School to transform the system step by step. With our proposal, we want to put the references of the educational community of Euskal Herria instead of being Spain and France, in other places: In the educational systems referent in Europe and in the world; in the use of our language and in the transmission of our culture; in the achievement of equal opportunities of the oppressed social classes through education; in co-educational education through feminist pedagogy... What we are saying is not a chimera, but they are already doing it in different centers of Euskal Herria, our usual challenge, which today is rare.

Basque School. The Basque Country Education System, decided by sovereign Basque citizenship. An axis on Euskera and Basque culture. To do this, it is necessary a model of immersion that guarantees the knowledge and use of the Basque Country, in order to educate the multi-lingual Basque students. In addition, for the school to transmit the Basque culture, in the Basque Curriculum, in the Basque culture, it is necessary to be focused to, based on Basque knowledge, walk towards universal knowledge. In this way, LAB calls for this direction to be promoted in all educational centers, both at national and regional level. We will especially intensify the struggle for the education law that we are at the door of the CAV to be sovereign and to have a “Basque” character; we will face the threat of reducing the places in Basque in the children’s schools of Pamplona; we will continue striving to open lines in Basque in the “mixed” and “erdaldune” area of Nafarroa; we will work to promote the public space in Ipar Basque.
Audience. Advertising is the only way to guarantee the universal right to education. All educational rights for all people, to guarantee basic rights such as equal opportunities, inclusion or quality education, the Basque Public School is our choice... and we are very far from it. The states and the autonomous administrations that are faithful managers of the capitalist system are dwindling the public educational system: lack of investment and training, lack of stability of workers, privatization of certain services, maintenance of the Catholic religion,...From LAB we say it clear, we do not accept the parameters of Spanish/French advertising, we will continue fighting for Basque advertising, building an education that meets the needs of our people and of the In this sense, we will face the segregation by class and origin, in Gasteiz and throughout the Basque Country, what is happening is unfair and shameful.
