The Haitian police announced this Sunday that it has arrested the alleged perpetrator of the murder of Moïse in Haiti. Christian Emmanuel Sanon is the 63-year-old doctor who allegedly ordered the operation, but the police are still looking for two other "intellectual authors." The Haitian Police considers that Sanon hired a private Venezuelan security company to launch the operation.
According to the Director General of the Haitian Police, Leon Charles, weapons and ammunition have been found in the Sanon house register: 20 bullet boxes, 24 its unused, three DEA txapels—those who attacked Moïse’s house said they were members of this agency—and four plates from the Dominican Republic. Charles added that, after being arrested by the police, some suspects attempted to contact Sanon on the first phone call in which they were admitted to do so.
In addition to Sanón, there are 22 other people arrested for the murder in which 23 people died. According to the data provided by the Guardian, 18 of them are Colombians -six, escorts of Sanón - and three others, Haitians. The country's police work with Colombian officials and seven FBI agents to investigate who has funded the deaths: According to El País, each of them has earned $2,700 for the murder of Moïse at home.
Charles explained that “to unite those who committed the murder,” CTU contacted the Venezuelan private security company in Sano. According to the Berria medium, CTU is a company operating with the United States: Venezuela’s president, Nicolás Maduro, clarified the day before yesterday that his owner is Antonio Intriago, of the opposition, “friend of Juan Guaidó and Leopoldo López”.
Christian Emmanuel Sanon has lived in Florida for 20 years. The journey to Haiti took place in June, on a private plane, and was stopped. Police chief Leon Charles believes he arrived in the country with “clear political goals”: he wanted to become president and therefore organised the attack on Moïse.En a video broadcast in 2011, Sanon explains his ideas.
