During the last few weeks Euskal Herria has been widely disseminated in the festivities and in the assaults by stings of many women in the jaws. Proof of this has been the facts reported in Bayona, Azpeitia, Vitoria-Gasteiz and Bilbao and in more places. The women in our daily lives suffer all kinds of aggressions, and in the festive environment the aggressions become more acute and normalized: retouches, violations, exposure to slugs...

In recent weeks we have been suffering puncture attacks, and so women, thinking that we can be the following, are being expelled from these spaces of socialization, without the ability to guarantee our security.

In view of the seriousness of the situation, the institutions again highlight the lack of real will and capacity to cope with the situation. It is therefore necessary for workers to develop their own tools to ensure our security and to be able to provide effective responses to the attacks.

That is what the fighting and the means we have put in place from Itaia in different regions are responding to. Protocols, collective additions, preventive mechanisms...

We believe it is necessary to denounce this serious situation and to underline the need to act and organise ourselves in the face of aggression.

During the month of August we will call for a series of mobilizations with the aim of pooling the urgency of dealing with the aggressions suffered by women, and in particular with the puncture attacks. Because it is everyone's responsibility to respond to these assaults.

The first mobilisation will take place in Vitoria on 3 August, in Donostia on 13 and in Bilbao on 19.
