A 17-year-old, neighboring Getxo, was raped by a group of men on Plentzia Beach on Sunday. Algorta’s feminist movement mobilized on Wednesday night in repulsion of this event and in support and solidarity to the woman who has suffered the aggression. The demonstration, which departed at 20:00 hours from Telletxe Square, was attended by hundreds of people.
Half an hour before the mobilization called by the feminist movement, at 19:30 hours, another concentration was held in Telletxe Square, convened by the Board of Spokespersons of the City of Getxo.
"We're angry, the health emergency isn't the only pandemic we're suffering. Sunday's is not an isolated case, nor a random fact," the feminist reading movement said. They were willing to respond to this type of aggression with feminist self-defense and to continue working on the construction of a feminist society.
