The parents’ associations of the public centers of Santutxu have denounced that the Department of Education has decided to close the haurreskola of Mina del Morro Larreagaburu. Last Friday they held a concentration at the school of Mina del Morro-Larreagaburu in a sign of disagreement with the decision taken. At 17:30 a.m. on Tuesday, another rally was convened next to the Santutxu Education Platform before the Basque Government Education Delegation.
- Don't close the pain! Under the motto 'Santutxu by the Basque Public School' they have asked the Department of Education to reopen the enrollment of two and three years, to fight against the massification and macrocenters, to give continuity to the projects initiated in recent years and not to close Mina del Morro school principally.
The LAB trade union joins the call
For its part, the LAB syndicate has denounced the neglect of the Department of Education with the center and has therefore asked the Basque Government to keep the Mina del Morro Public School open and to put in place a strategic plan to ensure the viability of the center in collaboration with the educational community of the neighborhood, as well as that among the three public centers (Mina del Morro, Karmelo Ikastñas Table).
