EH Bildu is willing to "overcome the blockade" and asks the militancy
- Geroa Bai warned yesterday that the road to forming the Government of Navarra was "blocked", as the PSN and Maria Chivite thought they offered little to the parties that need their votes. EH Bildu then offered a press conference to "unlock" the situation: it seeks to protect the investiture.
Without special conditions, EH Bildu has asked the PSN to pave the way for conversation, understanding that is what is a responsibility. "Our commitment is clear: Not deciding the future of Navarre to the right and fulfilling the democratic mandate of the citizens," said Laura Aznal, representative of EH Bildu.
Early on Monday afternoon, Geroa Bai appeared to warn that the negotiations were "in a state of clear deadlock", meaning that there are difficulties in remaking the agreement of the last legislature. In the same vein, he suggested to the PSN to go to EH Bildu, although Chivite had already said publicly that he had little to negotiate with the sovereigns.
Then EH Bildu spoke. Aznal explained that it is time to act responsibly and showed his complete readiness to unblock the current situation. If in the investiture of Chivite there was no affirmative vote by Geroa Bai, the sovereigns said that they would consider supporting the government, that they can vote affirmatively and that they do not have four years of abstention. Because with the nine EH Bildu parliamentarians, in principle PSN and with you Navarra should not necessarily have the support of Geroa Bai.
PSN and With You Navarra announce on Tuesday at noon that they have already concluded the agreement between the two. The Housing area it had in the last term will be managed by Tomás.
EH Bildu will open an internal procedure to defend or not the investiture of Chivite, consulting with the militancy.
