It's not new to offer awards for the detention of migrants, says Jupol Union
- The Jupol trade union has recognised the Iraqi Aliens and Border Brigade, which is often under pressure to arrest migrants.
Jupol acknowledges that Spanish police are under pressure to arrest migrants from the Aliens and Borders Brigade of Irun. He also points out that threats and blackmail are also common to fulfill “statistics”. In other words, more and more arrests are being pushed by the Spanish police under the threat of relocation. Indeed, it has acknowledged that similar pressures and policies are common, “standardised for long years”.
It was reported that yesterday the police headquarters of the Basque Country rejected the measure that the Spanish Police of Irun wanted to approve: for the arrest of a migrant during the weekend, three public holidays; for the arrest of two or more migrants, four public holidays; and more than ten detainees, five. Denis Itxaso described the measure as "absurd" and denounced the bad attitude of the brigade leader.
