"Psychological pressure is permanent and it's in that strategy of the company. Moreover, Mercadona mercilessly attacks those who dare to defend their rights and those of his team." This is what the ELA trade union says about Mercadona's performance in the food trade. The trade union has on several occasions approached the courts against Mercadona and this 14 July regretted the situation. In particular, hundreds of people participated in the demonstration that took place this Saturday in Bilbao.

In addition to the streets, the union has asked its affiliates and the general public to carry out their activities since consumption, “so that their consumption is responsible and does not contribute to enrich themselves in violation of the rights of the working class”.

Finally, a worker who was on leave has been dismissed by Mercadona, who has defended his right in the judicial process. ELA makes it clear: "The purpose of this complaint is clear, to frighten the worker to leave the company in exchange for poor compensation. This kind of persecution has nothing to do with a Great Family, but rather looks like mafious behaviors."
