Memeka.eus, a new tool to make memes in Basque
- The communication and technology company Iametza has published a project that facilitates the realization of memes in Basque.
The company Iametza has since its inception developed a series of products related to Information and Communication Technologies in Basque Country (ICT) and has recently created memeka.eus. This new project is aimed at adolescents and aims to increase the use of Euskera through ICTs. The meme offers the possibility of doing so in Basque.
Meme is a simple message of humor. Its dissemination is rapid and, often, the mixture between an image, a video or a text is satirical. It comes from the Greek word mimema, which means "something imitated."

Memeka is a meme making tool. It offers crisp images to create memes, among others. It allows the desired text to be inserted into the clean image and the user can decide the font and color. Then automatically place the phrases on the image and allow the user to download them.
