Late, always late, but the evaluation of the II Basque Plan of Osakidetza has finally been terminated. Just in case, they haven't come to the plaza and they haven't come out into the world. To undress in public, to show its shame, because it is not good; better to keep it inside, in the shadow of Osakidetza's paradise. The evaluation is the result of the collaboration between Elhuyar and the Euskera Service. For fear of resisting the rigidity of power, renouncing wisdom, they have ignored the serpent's words and have not eaten apple kernels. On the contrary, naked and undressed, they have received nothing but bitter fruit, the harvest of bondage and ignorance.

Among other things, they have alluded to the challenge of making the clinical history in Euskera and, as always, have blamed Euskaldunes patients and doctors, warning that their relationships, especially written ones, can compromise safety in Euskera. What would a feminist think if we told her to stay home to ensure her safety? If we recommend that you choose clothes responsibly and not exactly so that they don't get raped?

What Elhuyar, the Euskera Service and the IXA Group say is false: that we doctors write in Euskera and in Spanish the evolution of a patient. I at least write according to the patient: if he is Basque and Spanish, he is Spanish, not bilingual. Because the medical record should be like this: according to the patient. It is a mistake if you think that the automatic translator (under the UEU and the UPV/EHU) will solve the situation. The pandemic has shown us that service with technology is not a medicine, that people prefer face-to-face care in their language. Evolutionary ones, rather than in the "preferred language for each professional" (sic), should be in the patient's preferred language. To do this, we proposed tours or circuits of Euskera to ensure total care in Euskera and at the same time work in Euskera. To facilitate the normalization of care, based on evidence and formalized, and not at all the placebo of an automatic translator. They don't know what medicine is, or what the goals and foundations of health care are. It seems that they have not read a literature around the world that combines language and health. They say they don't know that automatic translators are not acceptable. They refer to active supply, circuits or medical history without knowing what they are.

In recent years, we have tried to explain all this through articles and publications, both in the media and at the academic level, in the summer courses of the university and in the postgraduate studies of language and health. Useless. We have not learned anything. I myself have written all the supporting memory, all the bibliography and a whole module of this postgraduate course. Knowing that it is dangerous for Basque technicians from Osakidetza, Elhuyar, the IXA group, UEU and experts from the UPV/EHU, I am not going to take part in such initiatives any more. I cannot corroborate that inhumane and inhuman message.
