The powerful of this world, the public authorities, are following the development race and are still doing nothing in the face of the sixth mass disappearance. The words of Greta Thunberg are significant: "As our bosses act as children, we are forced to assume the responsibility that they have long had to carry out." This 16-year-old Swedish boy has been on a school strike every Friday to make it clear that in order to prepare his future, it should have been school, but at the same time, that the future is in question, because of the climate disorder we leave without the means to prevent it.

Greta's words coincide with the latest scientific reports. These reports are, of course, worrying, we have to limit global climate warming between +1.5°C and +2°C, and that increase will already have a major impact on the living conditions of society, but we are still in time to avoid the worst and not to go at full speed with regard to the +3 or +4°C rise we have taken. However, we must collectively drive change in the trajectory of our society, unprecedented and massive.

Since the first strikes in schools that have passed through Sweden, many young people have also gone on strike in different towns. From Australia to the United States, mobilisations are also taking place in Europe with some major demonstrations, especially in Belgium and Switzerland, where more than 30 000 high school students have gathered.

In the French state, since this summer, climate mobilization has been increasing due to the dramatic consequences of climate disorder and the cessation of Nicolas Hulot. Citizen movements have been created, climatologists are increasingly engaged in their conferences and a procedure has been initiated in which more than 2 million people are supported to denounce the state, which is standing in the face of climate change.

"Why study for a future that will not be soon, and for which no one does anything to save? ".

We, the students of the Liceo, have the majority of us, who are older than us, to give our opinion. Our future is at stake. An appeal has been made to all youth movements to support the global climate strike called for on Friday, 15 March. We have to respond to that call.

Do you see yourself doing studies for a future that's not going to be? Everyone can participate in their measure, but if adults bring our efforts to the bottom to protect their advantages and stay inactive, our forces will be useless. Grief will also be impossible. Immobility, which brings us to the end of society, let us now together to live tomorrow.

The students of the Liceo in Euskal Herria call us to focus on this international mobilization. Let us defend our future and move closer to that mass movement to send a strong message to our leaders. Let us rise to the challenge that Greta Thunberg has launched and organise a large-scale event in our territory on Friday, 15 March.
