EHGAM presented in his appearance with the State honoured by the prestigious musician Sarasate the days he will hold on October 8 in Pamplona. And they decide to pay tribute to Sarasate given that in their day to be homosexual in public or to transgressing social norms was nothing easy. “We want to pay a tribute to this man who showed his courage to break the cysheterosis, showing his sexual/gender dissent.”
To date, EHGAM continues to bear in mind the difficulty and danger of breaching the established rules, so special attention has been paid in these days to the need for collaboration and organization.
“There are many and varied LGBTI+ and transbibolloeric groups. Each group or group has its starting point and its specific demands. We all come together on one issue: we want to limit our lives, destroy our gender manifestations, our ways of being, our ways of loving and the rules that limit skin tendencies, as well as the restrictive and repressive rules imposed by the cysheteropatriarchy,” they said.
“It is necessary to create meeting spaces and thus create your own LGTBI+ agenda. It has also been found that people and groups need organisational models that bring together different actors, which will make it possible to speed up and facilitate the organisation of joint actions. For this work, it is necessary to identify areas of intervention to design action strategies that allow overcoming stereotypes and prejudices that negatively affect the social perception of LGBTI+ people”. They also see a need to act and raise awareness of discrimination in order to create more pluralistic societies.
“On the one hand, it is essential to support the work of LGTBI+ groups, which are fundamental to advancing equality, freedom and respect for the diversity of LGTBI+ people. On the other hand, we have to work with citizens informing and raising awareness about the rights of LGBTI+ people,” they said.
The conference will take place on 8 October, in the morning and afternoon hours, at the Condestable Palace of Pamplona. The morning's entrance is free, but we have to point to the afternoon's workshops. The main objective of the day is to create a space for reflection and debate on the needs of LGTBI+ people to build a common program of claims and to be fellow travellers.
On the other hand, they will seek to establish connections between the LGTBI+ groups that are working to analyze the possibility of a work network for Navarra. In addition, they want to agree on joint demands with the people of the groups, establishing an agenda of priorities. EHGAM aims to develop joint actions to prevent LGBTBIphobia and its consequent aggressions.
The conference will involve groups from Tudela, Zizur, Vitoria-Gasteiz or Bilbao, among which different topics will be discussed through lectures. In the afternoon there will be several workshops and the day will end with a dinner.<p"></p"> <p"> </p"> <p"> </p"> <p"></p>
