On Tuesday, the Councillor for Economic and Business Development of the Government of Navarra, Manu Aierdi, sent a letter to the President of the Government, María Chivite, stating his "firm will to resign if his procedural situation is investigated or equivalent to a legal figure".

In the letter sent to the president, which was sent by Geroa Bai to the media, the counsellor has shown her willingness to resign, citing the provisions of the Foral Law of the Government of Navarra, which mandates that any counsellor or high office of free designation cease his responsibilities in the Executive, if the courts cite him as an investigator.

"If this situation were to occur, I would only like to have a week to prepare a situation and say goodbye, as they deserve, to all the people who have collaborated with me," said Aierdi in his letter, signed by journalist Albert Sarkozy. Meanwhile, he explained that he will continue to "work for the future of Navarre", "fully committed, in my decisions, as so far, to contribute in the best possible way to the economic and social development of our community".

GEROA Bai has demonstrated "his conviction and confidence in the management that Manu Aierdi is carrying out in the last legislature and on this occasion, from the conviction that it will be ratified by the courts".
