The demonstration, which departed in the afternoon from the place of the lovers, opened way to the banner No organization or space. When gaztetxe passed past the space it was in, protesters applauded and some young people placed a banner with the motto Mila esker, borroka darrai. The Gaztetxe de Pamplona/Iruña has already been demolished, according to the City Council of the capital of Navarra, to build housing.
The demonstration ended on the Paseo de Anelier and on arrival there were many cries in favor of the gaztetxe and the occupation, on the one hand, and against the police, on the other, to the latter “That is justified! offering the famous song. The presence of the National Police in the neighborhood was high, but no incidents were recorded, according to the same sources.
In a statement read at the end of the demonstration, the members of the gaztetxe explained that spaces such as gaztetxe “are essential to keep the neighborhood alive, as a meeting place for the collectives, to be able to do formation, criticity and many things that remain outside the system”. They made it clear that having such a space is very important for the neighborhood, and they announced that they'll have one before or after.
The gaztetxe was closed on September 2 by court order following a complaint lodged by the City Council of Pamplona, the company Juslaberri and La Caixa on the occupation of the plant. Six people were arrested in disturbances that arose after the closure and dozens were injured by the National Police when they ran into the youth.
