The State of Michigan is one of the hardest hit by the coronavirus in the United States and Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer has imposed one of the hardest containment measures in the country. On Saturday there was a discussion in the capitol with the proposal to extend the confinement for another 28 days. At the same time as the debate, tens of thousands of people concentrated outside the city to protest against enlargement. Some of the protesters entered the capitol, some of them armed. It's legal to bring Michigan's weapons, provided they're discovered. It's not the first armed right-wing and extreme right-wing protest that has taken place in Michigan and other states in the United States.
Inside the Capitol there have been moments of tension between the two teams. Trump referred to the armed protesters: “It’s good people, but they’re angry.” The Michigan House decided not to extend the lockdown.
