LAB and ESK (workers’ representatives) have taken advantage of the situation to highlight some “unethical” practices of the Allied Foundation, which manages the headquarters. They have also gone further: they have lodged a complaint with the Inspectorate of the Foral Council of Bizkaia. “In this complaint we inform the Inspectorate that families are charged with material for the protection of COVID-19 and that the headquarters uses the Food Bank to, among other things, feed those who receive the surveillance service, even if it is incompatible with the public money they receive,” the LAB syndicate explained in a statement.
The workers at the Ibarra headquarters will continue until Thursday with the strike called for this Thursday. This Tuesday morning they concentrated in front of the Bizkaia General Meetings in Bilbao, where they met with the political parties. In this way, they wished to underline the responsibility of the Member in the labour dispute.
On Wednesday, however, the rally will take place in Ibarra, from 14:00 to 16:00 hours. They will then head in a car caravan to the city centre.

Last year, women workers from Mothers Hungarians began working to improve their working conditions. They have reported that the situation of the workers has deteriorated significantly since the Allied Foundation company began to manage its headquarters. Among other demands, the wage increase according to the CPI and the return to work of 1,648 hours a year, according to the unions, stands out.
