Lurzaindia starts a campaign on Sunday to expand the cold
- On 5 May, Earth Day is celebrated in Donaixti (Baja Navarra). On Sunday, Lurzaindia will start a new subscription campaign.
Lurzaindia, through a subscription, wants to support two new projects in the localities of Donaixti and Ahurti. With the accession of the agricultural lands of the Basque Country, the association aims to promote food sovereignty, the creation of jobs, the promotion of local food and the transmission of cultivation.
The support campaign started in 2018 and now, Lurzaindia wants to cancel a loan of €135,000 to pay 38 hectares of land. Bastien Cecchetto and Perrine Decarsin Donaixtin and Laura Daniel Ahurtin are the farmers who want to set up. The subscription campaign is aimed at supporting the projects of these three farmers.
Lurzaindia asked Saferra for the right to challenge because a doctor wanted to buy land: “We only often feel ourselves in the fight against land speculation,” said Lurzaindia President Dominique Amsoy.
On this occasion, however, the intention of speculators has been paralysed. The money raised will be used to pay the loan and three farmers will be set up. Lurzaindia has called on the citizens to participate in Donaixti’s Earth Day and make their contribution this Sunday, 5 May.
