The organizing group of the event has pointed out that within the celebration of the International Day against LGBTBIphobia, it is a cultural activity (“Kiki Ball”, a show that mixes dance, fashion, music and performance). "It is a way to visualize, normalize and empower a historically stigmatized and marginalized collective."
The organizers previously informed the City Council of Pamplona/Iruña of the event and ensured the necessary preventive and health measures. In the absence of a response from the municipal administration, the institution contacted Protección Civil, who informed the organization that it was possible.
"We've spent weeks preparing and coordinating space, people and the competition itself. The show will be shown live from Madrid, Berlin, London and Barcelona and you will be able to follow live from Barcelona. We went to a spectacle of great professionalism, knowledge, energy and art. What happened on Saturday was not a macrophage, as it was intended to be presented in public opinion. On the contrary, it was an example of multidisciplinary art, of a high level and very interesting, which supposes a lifestyle for some of the people who participated. "To say a big party is to steal dignity," they denounced.
