On Sunday, International Day of Sexual Liberation, numerous mobilizations took place in the capitals of Hego Euskal Herria. This year, the demands in favor of transsexuals have been placed in the front line to respond to the exclusionary currents that have been gaining prominence against them in feminism.

In Bilbao, the protesters have departed on 7 p.m. towards Arenal, following the concentration in Elíptica Square. This has been the motto of this year: “Constant struggle for networks. Persecuted, clandestine, united.”

In statements to the media, the representative of the groups invited, Joseba Gabilondo, said that "sexual dissidents" had been reunited to remember "all the fighting" that had taken place, to fight for the rights of the collective and to combat "LGTBphobia".

The mobilization, organized by the Transmarikabollo Feminist Coordinator of Donostia, has claimed "critical pride" in the face of the demands made in the protests of 28 June. Hundreds of people demonstrated on the Boulevard Kiosk after touring the central streets of the city in Bilbao. During the mobilization, the demands against racism and capitalism were heard. The manifesto calls for the repeal of the Aliens Act and the closure of Foreign Detention Centres.

In Vitoria-Gasteiz, as announced by coordinator E28, the demonstration departed at 12:00 hours from the Plaza de Bilbao and ended at the Gaztetxe. This year’s motto has been “Overturning all organized sexual and gender dissent.”

In Pamplona/Iruña, the demonstration started under the motto “Breaking the normalcy, transbollomarika in struggle”.
