LGTBIQ+ 21. The Zinegoak International Film and Performing Arts Festival announced this week the awards for this edition, coinciding with Pride Day. As the organizers have pointed out, the palmarés have been characterized by the Lesbian memories and by the resistance and struggles to the ultraderecha.
The main prize has been for the documentary Lesvia, by director Tzeli Hadjidimitriou, which according to the jury, reaches the limit of the popularity of the ultraderecha at a time when more and more lesbophobe measures are being taken.
In addition, the jury wished to make a special mention of the work Transfariana by Joris Lachaise: "It is also essential to watch this film because it proves with great mastery that the Marxist and militarized struggle of the FARC group joined with transfeminism, with the desire to transform the system," he added.

In addition to the documentary Lesvia, the film that received the most prizes was Levante, by the director Lilla Halla. He has received two awards: Diversity and Human Rights Prize and Lesbian and Gender Prize. It highlights the following: "It represents gender diversity and puts the care network at the center to respond to the loss of rights and so that fascism does not advance."
In the fictions section, the film Crossing by Levan Aknin was made with the award for the best portrait of the bustling Istanbul (Turkey). "It seems that all the characters are looking for each other, but above all they are looking for themselves," said the President of the United States.
Linked to the new narratives, the prize has been for The Hearing, of the Lisa filmmaker Gerig. The film is about European migratory issues and it is about the social tragedy that these migrations experience, whether or not to be cured.
The public prize has been for Au bord de nos nuits blances, by Elsa Aloisio, who narrates the resistance and sorority of trans women and sex workers.
