Lemmy.eus, new platform for Basque forums
- A website has been created to create forums or threads of debate/information in Basque Lemmy.eus. A kind of Reddit in Basque. "Is there anything you want to ask and don't dare?" Have you been fed up with the tyranny of the timeline and prefer thematic forums? Try lemmy.eus".
Lemmy is a free software project. It is an instance in Basque that has now been created by some Basque computer scientists. As in Reddit, there are communities or subgroups, and in each of them, threads. For example, two groups:

But there is a fundamental difference between this forum and others. Lemmy works through federated or non-centralized servers, in the logic and philosophy of the services that has been called fediverse. For the time being, the Basque project works in a single instance, but it can be centralized and federated if more is created.
Lemmy.eus works with basic standards (detailed here in detail), which specify that it is about speaking in Basque:
- Be friendly. That people feel good, it's good for everyone.
- Do not insult or persecute anyone. Intolerant content and attitudes are prohibited.
- There's no advertising.
- Speak in Basque.
