The graffiti artists Nextor and Aitor Otaño have finished the mural dedicated to Lazkao Txiki. Last July the group of Ordizia Emaneurre launched a campaign to raise funds for the creation of the mural. The objective of this project was to pay tribute to the bertsolari of Goierritarra and to reflect with a phrase the concern of the group that organizes activities in favor of the Basque country. The phrase inserted in the mural reads as follows: “On this march we will soon talk in Spanish thinking that we are talking about Euskera.”
Nextor Otaño, in an interview granted to the NAIZ station, explained that the mural wanted to be taken seriously by being on a street frequented by young people. In the mural they wanted to combine realism with the humor that characterized Lazkao Txiki, and the game of thrones. The members of the Emaneurre group have offered their support to the graffiti artists Nexgraff, the neighbours of Ordizia, the associations, entities and the neighbours of Portal 18 of Santa Maria de Ordizia.
Bertsolari Lazkao Txiki is based on the mural drawings that Aitor and Nextor Otaño @nexgraff have made in Ordizia. The project has been driven by @EmaneurreTaldea, concerned about the future of the Basque Country, to promote the use of language. @aittor___https://t.co/4jp2qi9jok pic.twitter.com/zb7fYb2oNE
