This year’s trip has been quieter than last year’s. In fact, on 9 July the Supreme Court notified the judgment on the Alsasua case: prison sentences of one and six months and nine and a half years. The judgment was firm and binding. In the citizenship, again, the feelings of injustice and disproportion were reflected. It was also time to prepare for the coming mobilizations.
On the fourth anniversary there is no such atmosphere. And the ones that have put a little bit of salt are the ones that are recording the series for ETB. Meanwhile, the number increases in the counter located in front of the City Hall. Adur, Jokin and Oihane are now serving 1,433 days in prison, of which 1,326 are prisoners. They are in the third grade and since 8 September have a telematic bracelet and live in the village. Aratz, Iñaki, Jonan and Julen have served a sentence of 899 days. The first two left prison on 20 December, after remaining in prison for 588 days. They're in the third grade, in the village, and they have telematic control. The minor of the convictions, Ainara, did not have to enter prison and has already been released, according to Interior reports.
Jonan and Julen are the only defendants currently in pre-trial detention. Both have already enjoyed permits to spend a few days outside the prison, as reported by the Ministry of the Interior. They've asked to go to 3rd grade and spend days in the street and nights in jail and they're waiting for it. Meanwhile, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the two have no face-to-face visits and if in the speech area the jail accepted the first four, there are currently two. On the other hand, the judicial route is still in operation.
