On 23 September 2018, more than two thousand people participated in the events called by the Anti-Incineration Movement and in the march that took place in Zubieta to reach the incinerator. In these acts, among others, the political positions that paralysed the project during the Bildu legislature at the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa were honoured, which precisely because it fulfilled the promises made to the citizens in the elections wanted to punish subsequent (and earlier) rulers for stopping the incinerator. Now the threat of punishment has taken others into the custody of the victim.
During the afternoon of that Sunday of September, hundreds of people approached area 0 of the incinerator of Zubieta to protest against incineration, dressed in white and with peaceful demonstrations. The Ertzaintza prevented access to the area, closing all access routes to the area. In the end, the Ertzaines threw themselves into the crowd that reached the incinerator's door, even though they responded with empty hands.
Fourteen months later, the call to appear at the court in early December reached four Gipuzkoan citizens: The protest has been charged with the complaint by the Ertzaintza, which has been arrested. In solidarity with these four people, EAM has called solidary concentrations at the doors of the Court of Donostia on 4, 9 and 19 December.
