Four men have recently been detained in the Basque Country on the international day against violence against women A25, according to the media, three of them for sexual assault and another for playing the partner.

An 18-year-old man was arrested in Tudela on Friday night, accusing a woman of sexual abuse in a bar. He has been released temporarily, but on Monday he will pass before the judge, according to the newspaper Berria.
In addition, a fourth man was arrested in Tafalla, 34, on charges of gender-based violence. According to the Foral Police, the man beat his partner on a bus that ran through the AP-15 and some travelers got up to protect the woman and stop the man.
In the A25 thousands of people denounced the “eleven ways” of male violence and feminist movements in the Basque Country claimed self-defense and feminist justice in the streets of towns and cities. They reaffirm their attitude to the Machian attacks: “No aggression, no answers.”
They also call for men to be held responsible in this year’s demonstrations: “We demand that they take responsibility. Stop being an aggressor and accomplice. Superficial discourses do not work if nothing changes in practice.”
