The doors of Sorginenea will open this Saturday, with the aim of becoming "a space of empowerment for women". "A space for the transformation of society, always from the participation and from the criterion of the sustainability of life", family members affirmed in a hearing held this morning. All women have been invited to come to the house and start building the project. The festival will start on Saturday, between 11:00 and 23:00 hours, with the match Tropela: "We call on all women to celebrate such a symbolic and historic day for the Alavesa capital, which we have achieved after so many years of tireless work," he added.

In particular, Sorginenea aims to raise awareness of feminist education, promote the participation of women and guide debates and research. Since it will be the year of the birth of Sorginenea, priority will be given to activities aimed at making visible, publicizing and promoting the participation of the women of the city.

"Sorginena is a feminist project, run by women and directed at women. It aims to be a meeting place, a place of mutual recognition from which we can identify and create shared spaces. We want to build a critical feminist interculturality through the exchange of knowledge, the richness of diversity and the participation of all women as subjects capable of transforming their reality”, explained the responsible.

Sorginenea's management model is shared between the Municipal Equality Service and the Sorginenea Women's House Association, which represents all women who want to participate.

The criteria that will guide Sorginenea will be: a safe and trustworthy place, inclusive, open and plural for all women and totally independent of any political party or movement, collective, entity or space.
