Of the 2,257 hectares of cultivated land burned, more than 2,000 correspond to the cereal. In addition, 86 hectares correspond to the cultivation of nuts, 33 olive groves and about 36 vineyards.
Almost 100% of cereal land has insurance, 73% of vineyards and 22% of olive groves. The Government has announced that work on the extinction of the fire by private means, as well as the assets concerned, will also be compensated.
Fire burns conifers
With regard to the forest area, the authorities have pointed out that it is still early to determine the number of affected lands, but they envisage that the burned area is approximately 7,600 hectares of shrub forest and Mediterranean forest and 4,500 hectares of wooded areas, especially coniferous areas.
The Government of Navarra states that it assumes responsibility for the recovery of the affected forest area, both privately owned forests and those of municipal and government property.
