Opening of the hostel La Sirena
The cold comes back to stay another season. The controversy arose last year around the refuge of La Sirena in San Sebastian, which opened for ten days throughout the winter. And this year the story will be repeated, because in winter it is not open. At this point it should be made clear that although most homeless people die on very cold nights, this situation is only a drop that fills the glass of a mediocre body, exposed to all kinds of bad weather. Although this year the capacity of the La Sirena hostel has increased from 66 to 100, while this hostel does not open for a long time, what has been done so far is very little.
I believe that the hostel should be open at least all winter, and if it were all year long, better still, because we must not forget that at least 100 people sleep every day in the streets of Donostia. !
