Cultural exchange between five communities to foster mutual knowledge
- The four territories of Hego Euskal Herria, Galicia, Asturias and Cantabria are in the exchange program. In more than a dozen corners of Euskal Herria you will see theatre and shows from other places, from September 17 to October 22.
The project called the North Scenic Road has organized its fifth edition for the fall. The communities in the north of the Iberian Peninsula are the drivers and aim to promote cultural exchange among them for mutual knowledge. Each community has selected three works, most theater shows, and creators will travel through communities. Between Navarre, Álava, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa, Galicia, Asturias and Cantabria the participation of a total of 15 theatre, dance and art companies will be financed, with a total of 60 performances.
The Basque Government has announced that in Araba, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa works of creators from other communities will be offered in four places in each territory: In Álava, Zigoitia, Labastida and Vitoria have been selected; in Bizkaia Gernika, Elorrio, Muskiz and Bilbao; and in Gipuzkoa Hondarribia, Zarautz, Mutriku and Eibar. The programme is in the process of being developed and is gradually being communicated to the doors of Ipar Eszena.
The Government of Navarra still has no place to publicly organise its projects, but as can be seen on the aforementioned website, the confirmed will be the following municipalities: Tafalla, Alsasua, Aranguren, Villava, Zizur Mayor and Sangüesa.
The three jobs chosen by each government
Each autonomous community has selected three works that will finance its tour.
The Government ' s relationship is as follows: The show Baby esferic, by the company Aboon Teatre, Sexberdin, by Eva Guerrero Corpus and Tanttaka Teatroa, winner of the award for the best production of the Max awards. For its part, the Government of Navarra has chosen the show The Tuerto King of Inextremis; The Dogs of Led Silhouette; and Portamundos of Levelibular.
Galicia, show Crisálida de Caramuxo Teatro; Amantis de Rebordelos; and Pato Só de Xampatito. Misery of Saltants Teatro de Asturias; Luna de Luz de Gas; and The Black Beast, play of Pilot Project theater. Finally, Cantabria will comprise: Show Lear in the cathedrals of Ábrego Teatro; Circus magnificus of Malabaracirco Artworks; and Frontier, by Mari Pestat.
