The photographer from Donostia-San Sebastián Kote Cabezudo is being investigated for an alleged crime of 47 crimes of gender-based violence. So far there have been four trials, the last of 17 February, in which the Donostia-San Sebastian Court condemned him for attempting to obstruct a judicial investigation against him and sentenced him to a fine of EUR 425.
The first case against Kote Cabezudo kicked off in 2013: at the first trial, the Donostia was sentenced to two years and three months in jail – since 4 May 2018 in Martutene prison, in pre-trial detention – and denounced one of the victims for threatening to post a nude photograph of his on the networks. In the second case, he was sentenced to five months in jail for giving false contracts to justice to justify that a minor who worked for him was over 18 years old and was sentenced to prison terms. Mr Cabezudo appealed against this sanction, which has not yet become definitive. The photographer was tried for the third time in January for posting on social media a "erotic photo" of a young woman, after justice ordered her to erase that image. In March and April he will be re-tried on two other occasions for alleged infringement of two other court orders.
