The distribution of counseling is at the base of the controversies of the PSN and Geroa Bai
- This Friday the Parliament of Navarre will be set up, and from that point on it will be three months to be part of the Government of Navarre, but there does not seem to be any problem for this, at least given what the key parties have so far said in their formation.
The government will be formed, but the question is how, to see what strength the PSN will have, Geroa Bai and With You Navarra within it. In this context we must understand the controversies that exist these days between the PSN and Geroa Bai. Yesterday the PSN and With You Navarre met, and according to Socialists Geroa Bai was also invited, but did not attend. Geroa Bai explained earlier that he had told the PSN that he was not going to show up and accused the socialists of doing theatre.
Why didn't Geroa Bai appear? The main focus is on the distribution of the Governing Councils, and according to the coalition led by Uxue Barkos, a bilateral meeting was held with the PSN to discuss the representation of both parties. The PSN, for its part, stopped convening the meeting on Wednesday 3. Geroa Bai told Chivite that he would not go.
In the last legislature Geroa Bai complained that his forces and those of the PSN were badly reflected in the government. The meeting between PSN and EH Bildu took place last Tuesday and the Socialists have announced that no further meetings will be held between them. The socialists clearly told EH Bildu that it would have no place in the government and that in other institutions they would not be together in any government. On the other hand, EH Bildu says that the stories have only just begun, and that there is a possibility of other agreements.
It must be borne in mind that the municipalities will be set up on Saturday and that it is pending to see what will happen in the city of Pamplona. The PSN says it will not support Joseba Asiro, but it is ready to support the candidature of Koldo Martínez from Geroa Bai. EH Bildu has always denied such a third way.
