An indefinite strike in the sports activities sector in Vitoria-Gasteiz began this Tuesday. Despite the fact that the representation of the workers has tried to reach an agreement with the successful company, the latter has rejected the proposals. As a result, the workers have begun to tighten their pulse with the confinement of the Mendizorroza and Gamarra pools, and some courses in the civic centres have been rejected for the same reason.

Workers' representatives have described meetings with workers in recent times as "disappointing". “They are not prepared to take a minute in the time needed for the opening and closing of the pools.” Sports monitors, for their part, have denounced that “the City Hall has not listened to them”, as with regard to the programming of sports activities, they continue to deaf ears to any proposal.
Monitors and rescuers have ratified their willingness to resolve the labour conflict, as in fact, the arrests that have been taking place since 10 August were suspended. But as the other party is not fulfilling its commitments, they have decided to keep tightening the rope to protect their interests, as companies and the City Hall are “throwing the ball”.
