A Spanish journalist insults Mertxe Aizpurua in the Spanish Congress

As usual, EH spokeswoman Bildu, Mertxe Aizpurua, decided not to answer the questions of several far-right journalists at the press conference offered on Tuesday at the Spanish Congress. Before Javier Negro, an extreme right-wing journalist asked Aizpurua. "Thank you, but you know I'm not going to answer your questions," Aizpurua said. “You know that for a long time the journalistic veto was put in place, it was limited to freedom, it was kidnapped and it was shot, right?” the journalist replied. Then Negre asked him another question, Aizpurua gave him the same answer and began to leave the room. Then Negre said, “Why don’t you answer us? This is terrible! Often diver!”

Solidarity with Aizpurua
The politicians Jaume Asens and Pablo Echenique of Podemos, or Oihana Etxebarrieta and Maddalen Iriarte of EH Bildu, have denounced the treatment received and expressed their solidarity with Aizpurua. Aizpurua thanks for the support on Twitter: “I will continue without responding to the far-right media. The insults and attacks of the far-right will not stop us. Laugh, let’s win!”
