On October 1, 2017, thousands of citizens voted in Catalonia for the Catalan elections. The citizens suffered the repression of the Government of Spain; hundreds of police took to the streets and the polling stations, and the violence took hold of the citizens. Then came the exiles and the arrests. The second anniversary of the Referendum in Catalonia comes to the news that the judgment of the trial against independence leaders is now approaching.
In this context, the action that began on 1 October has paid tribute to the president of the Generalitat and to political prisoners: About 500 climbers rose to Mount Montserrat last night and ignited a total of 131 rockets, the same number as the president of the Generalitat of Catalonia. The initiative, entitled "Llum y llibertat", has been carried out by the Catalan National Assembly (ANC) and the Omnium Association, and the lights have sought to illuminate the cells of political prisoners.

Former President Carles Puigdemont has also participated in the initiative through a video showing a rocket on the street.

The President of the Generalitat, Quim Torra, and the other consellers have also appeared at a press conference, and Torra has stated that they will continue their journey from two years ago to the republic by peaceful and democratic means.
Exconsellers Puigdemont, Toni Comín, Meritxell Serret, Clara Ponsatí and Lluís Puig have concentrated on the facade of the European Parliament to demand the seats of Oriol junqueras, Comin and Puigdemont.
JxCat, ERC, CUP, ANC and Òmnium Cultural have appeared in the gardens of Sedeta, in Barcelona, one of the places of voting on 1 October, in an initiative that aims to be "a transversal representation of Catalan society". The journalists Martí Anglada and David Fernández, and the historian Anna Sallés i Bonastre, spoke:
🔴 @AngtrailersMarti: Qualsevol feels that it is not absolute, it is considered unfair. The 20-S i’1-O of 2017 vam exercir drets fonamentals com el de manifestació o la d’autodeterminació, i l’exercici d’aquests drets no pot considerat delicte en un democràcia.” pic.twitter.com/vtxBkXlEmM

The police operation of 24 September has also marked the second anniversary of the referendum. The Civil Guard arrested nine members of the CoR, of whom seven were arrested for a terrorist organization integration crime. Thus, several citizens have mobilized this morning against the headquarters of the Girona Civil Guard and the Government Delegation in Spain, on the occasion of the arrests and the anniversary. Several Mossos d’Esquadre have surrounded the buildings and identified a minor demonstrator for allegedly throwing eggs into the building.

Along the same lines as the protests in Girona, a mobilisation is also taking place in Lleida.
