Taken to prison Ibon Nortagirre
- In the Alcalá-Meco prison in Madrid, the Ondarrúa Basque prisoner Ibon Nortagirre is already on the list of seriously ill people. He was hospitalized with signs of pneumonia on May 31, but is returned to prison on the afternoon of June 8.
The disease is at a very advanced stage, and with a disease like AIDS at that stage, any infection puts life at risk. At the Legislative Assembly on 17 May, 300 public health doctors declared that if the prisoner remains in prison, his life is in danger.
The relatives of Nortagirre, Etxerate and the platform Nord-Gal Bai stated in their apparition on June 1 that "Ibon is dying in prison and it is necessary to end his revenge". On 2 June, all parties in the Basque Parliament supported the release of the Ondarruta prisoner.
Now in the Nortagirre prison again, the Kalera Kalera Dynamics organizes protest actions for the weekend:
- On Friday, June 9, there will be a five-minute buzz in the Ondarro, starting at 23:00.
