Workers at the Artium Museum of Vitoria-Gasteiz working in the field of public care began a mobilisation plan in July. In fact, reviewing the base budget of the new service tender proved that it had been reduced by 20% compared to the previous tender made in 2018.
Consequently, the Artium Museum began to mobilize the workers to “protect the jobs and working conditions” of the people who make up the public support service and “defend a quality service”. They have also confirmed that they have had daily contacts with the company and with the Council of Gipuzkoa.
According to the ELA trade union, the conflict has also continued to be socialised in August. The last of the demonstrations will be on 26 August, at 10:30 a.m. Before the Artium Museum you will remember that “the conflict is still alive”.
In addition, they have called for a strike on 4, 9 and 11 September, and from 15 September, the strike will become indefinite. This is intended to avoid the cuts announced, to keep all jobs and to ensure the quality of service at all times.
Yesterday some visitors recorded this video and sent it to us. They entered the window @Artium Vitoria without removing the entry. Once the slogan has been removed, visitor access control has disappeared and everyone can now pass without entry.
