Neighbors and neighbors from different backgrounds, mentalities and ages met on Saturday ‘worried’ about the neighborhood and the situation of Judimensiondi, remembering the path they have taken since the opening of the Premium Games Room two years ago and that now is the time to undertake as a neighborhood. To this end, they have launched the dynamic ‘Judimensiondi jokorik ez’.
“The Premium Games Lounge is a business oriented to the sale of the game. That is, the addiction generated by the game and the business that takes advantage of the dependency”, explained, and mentioned the works that the Gazte Asanblada has done about it: “In addition to performing observation work, the games room has shared with the neighbors what brought the neighborhood through press conferences, notes, reports and conferences, among other things.”
They wanted to make it clear that, in addition to the young people, the other neighbors realized the “seriousness” of the situation and wanted to take a step forward as a neighborhood. As they have warned, the Gambling Room jeopardizes the proximity of Judimensiondi: “It brings us to individualism, generates dependence and precariousness and makes unfair competition to bars and shops in the area, among other things. An example of this is that two bars in the neighborhood have to close their doors, that workers are forced to make endless days, that the games room is open 24 hours, or that the youngest in the neighborhood feel more addicted to play.”
New dynamics
The neighbors and neighbors of Judimendi have explained that the games room is totally opposed to the neighborhood model they want to promote, and they will address the dynamic ‘Judimensiondi jokorik ez!’. As a starting point, they have offered two resources: “On the one hand, to carry plates that show our permanent disconformity and on the other, to hang on the balconies of our houses banderoles that make clear our position against the gambling hall.”
In addition, they have appealed to all neighbours and neighbours not to consume it in the Games Room: “From our commitment not to consume on a personal level, we want to give a strong and joint response. As a collective problem, the participation and commitment of all neighbours and neighbours is fundamental.”
